Who is this accelerator designed for?

1. Who is this accelerator designed for?

This accelerator is designed for teams responsible for HUD reporting, including Case Managers, Program Managers, Grants Managers, and Housing Program staff who prepare or support APR (CoC) and CAPER (ESG) submissions.

It’s especially helpful for organizations managing reporting across multiple programs or funding sources.

Does this replace HMIS?

No.
The accelerator does not replace HMIS.

It works alongside your existing systems by using data that already lives in Salesforce to generate HUD-ready APR and CAPER reports. HMIS remains your system of record where required.

Do we need to change our current reporting process?

No major process changes are required.

The accelerator is designed to fit into your existing workflow, not disrupt it. Reporting happens directly inside Salesforce using familiar data, without requiring new tools or complex setup for reporting staff.

How does this help with data accuracy and compliance?

Before generating reports, the accelerator:

  • Validates required data fields
  • Applies HUD-specific reporting rules automatically
  • Flags issues early with clear error messages
  • Masks PII by default in exports

This helps teams identify and resolve issues before submission, rather than during last-minute reviews.

What happens if our data isn’t ready?

If required data is missing or doesn’t meet HUD requirements, the accelerator does not silently generate incorrect reports.

Instead, it clearly identifies:

  • Which report is affected
  • The specific field or data point that needs attention

This allows teams to fix issues proactively, rather than discovering problems after submission.

Is sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) protected?

Yes.

PII is masked by default in generated files, reducing the risk of accidental exposure when reports are reviewed, shared internally, or uploaded for submission.

Can we generate only certain reports instead of the full package?

Yes.

You can generate:

  • Individual APR or CAPER reports for review
  • Or the full submission package in one step

This flexibility supports both incremental review and final submission workflows.

What format are the reports generated in?

The accelerator produces a submission-ready export, including all required files packaged in a Sage-ready ZIP format, aligned with HUD submission requirements.

Do Case Managers need technical or Salesforce admin skills to use this?

No.

The accelerator is designed for reporting and program staff, not technical users. If you can navigate Salesforce, you can use the reporting workflow without additional technical training.

Is this available only for Salesforce-based organizations?

Yes.
