Improved donor management
The Adventure Project helps to reduce four core issues affecting people in extreme poverty - climate, health, hunger and water. They create jobs that help to sustain families while addressing these core issues.
CUBE84 deployed Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud with a household and organization accounts model, custom donation roll-ups, and structured interaction tracking. Fundraise Up and ActiveCampaign were integrated through automated, bi-directional syncs. The rollout followed a phased approach that prioritized data cleanup, workflow automation, and reporting.
TAP relied heavily on spreadsheets, managing 12000 donor profiles and 9000 accounts manually. Despite the abundance of data, their problem was the inability to trust, connect, and use it.
Furthermore, they were not able to clearly map the donations to the essential services like healthcare, clean water, nutritious food or climate-friendly cookstoves. This was important to them for transparency in reporting and to build trust with donors.
The underlying reasons why this challenge came up-
Hard and soft donor credits, major gifts and matching gifts were all tracked separately across platforms, making it tough to get an accurate giving history.
Reporting took up to 8 hours of Excel formulas, delaying stewardship and fundraising decisions. Data was often manually updated into different tools to extract reports, which was difficult to check.
Data was not flowing into Salesforce systematically and there was no integration with ActiveCampaign, which means teams were working with segmented, often unverified data.

The first step was to give TAP a single view of giving they could trust. We built a Gift Summary dashboard in Salesforce that automatically rolled up hard credits, soft credits, and designations. What once took hours in Excel was now visible in seconds. Donation change tracking was automated so upgrades and downgrades appeared in real time, keeping records clean without manual intervention.
To connect the full donor journey, we synced Fundraise Up with Salesforce through a custom Zapier workflow. Every donor record, gift, and household detail now flowed seamlessly into the system. Finally, we enabled real-time, two-way sync with Active Campaign, so segmentation drew on live data like subscription status. Campaigns could be tailored with confidence, knowing the right message reached the right supporter at the right moment.
The result was a complete shift in the way every day work was being carried out. TAP no longer struggled with disconnected tools and manual processes. They now had a unified platform where data was clean, accurate, and ready to drive action.

The impact of these changes was immediate. What once took 5-10 hours of Excel work became a two-minute report. Fundraisers no longer lost time to formulas. They could focus on donors and decisions.
Campaign cycles accelerated by 70%, thanks to real-time data flowing between Salesforce and ActiveCampaign. Instead of waiting days for segmented lists, the team could launch timely, targeted outreach while momentum was still high. With live donation tracking, staff could spot upgrades or dips in giving and adjust strategies on the fly. This agility turned fundraising into a proactive effort rather than a reactive one.
Perhaps most importantly, confidence returned. Manual fixes dropped, accuracy improved, and the team could finally trust their system to tell the full story of donor generosity
