DirectSource, a provider of custom kitchen cabinetry and countertops, needed to speed up quoting and remove daily friction in Salesforce. Manual SKU selection, product bundling, and limited UI support for CAD and inventory slowed sales execution. In an 8-week delivery, CUBE84 rebuilt the Salesforce Sales Cloud experience with guided quoting, integrated forms, and a custom BOM approach designed for a smaller catalog. DirectSource went live in November 2023 with faster quoting, higher operational efficiency, and measurable cost savings.
DirectSource is a premier provider of custom kitchen cabinetry and countertops, delivering personalized design solutions for every home. Their sales process depends on accurate configuration, clean quoting, and fast coordination across product details, BOM requirements, and inventory awareness.

CUBE84 strengthened Salesforce Sales Cloud to support manufacturing quoting and BOM needs without ERP integration. The solution included an improved CRM experience, a guided quoting path built with Screen Flows supported by Lightning Web Components, and a shift from external tools into Salesforce Forms. Because the catalog is relatively small, CUBE84 delivered a custom, Salesforce-native BOM solution that made configuration and quoting practical inside the platform. Delivery ran 8 weeks, with a November 2023 go-live.
Quotes consistently took longer than expected and Salesforce began to feel like a hurdle rather than the trusted system of record it was meant to be. Teams relied on external tools and manual workarounds to assemble complex quotes, which introduced avoidable rework, fragmented the process, and slowed decision-making at critical moments. There was a lack of speed and continuity.
Over time, these patterns shaped internal beliefs about what was possible. Quoting was viewed as too customized to fit within a structured, guided workflow, and BOM management was assumed to function best outside of Salesforce. Those assumptions reinforced the disconnect and kept the process more complicated and slower than it needed to be.

CUBE84 mapped the quoting workflow end-to-end and focused on the steps that created friction: manual SKU selection, product bundling, and repeated corrections. The goal was to make Salesforce feel natural for sellers, not like a system they had to work around.
To address BOM needs without ERP integration, CUBE84 built a Salesforce-native BOM solution aligned to DirectSource’s smaller product catalog. This ensured the BOM structure could support quoting logic without forcing the team into complex integration work.
Next, quoting was rebuilt as a guided experience. Using Screen Flows supported by Lightning Web Components, sellers moved through a structured path for SKU selection and bundling. That reduced uncertainty and made quote creation consistent across the team.
Finally, intake and operational forms were brought into Salesforce using Salesforce Forms. This removed dependency on external form tooling, reduced admin overhead, and delivered measurable licensing savings.

DirectSource reduced lead-to-quote time by 30%, improving responsiveness and helping sales and operations plan work with fewer delays. Sellers spent less time assembling quotes and more time moving opportunities forward.
Operational efficiency improved by 10–15% through better tracking and stronger day-to-day visibility inside Salesforce. Tool sprawl also dropped. By eliminating external form subscriptions, DirectSource saved up to $5,000 per year and reduced the friction of managing yet another system.
